Gabe Hodges, MD, is a primary care physician with more than 15 years of clinical and health system leadership experience in value-based care. Dr. Hodges has dedicated his career to building evidence-based clinical pathways and enabling primary care organizations to deliver high-quality care in risk-bearing arrangements. He joined AristaMD from SmarterDx, where he served as Senior Product Manager of Clinical Strategy, leading clinical pathway development and AI-augmented clinical decision support. Prior to SmarterDx, he was a Medical Director at Oak Street Health, a leading independent primary care provider operating full-risk Medicare Advantage models across multiple states, where he managed clinical operations, developed population health strategies, and led value-based care initiatives.
At AristaMD, Dr. Hodges leads clinical strategy for the company’s specialty care management model: intercepting specialty referrals before the visit is booked, conducting evidence-based clinical appropriateness review, and routing patients to the right level of care. He trained in pediatrics and internal medicine (Med-Peds) at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he served as Chief Resident, and earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
