Jana Goldberg, MD, FACC, National Medical Director, Vice President of Clinical Services at Heartbeat Health, offers an end-to-end review of Afib diagnosis and management for the PCP.  The presentation will start with current data for Afib screening and navigating different types of ECG monitoring devices (how to improve your “door to diagnosis” time).

Followed by information about how to approach initial steps in management, including rate versus rhythm control (with 2022 updates) and anticoagulation. The presentation will also review how to tackle the risk of bleed versus stroke and the reality of bleeding risk and falls. By the end of the session, attendees should feel comfortable with ECG monitoring and initial steps in management, including anticoagulation and rate versus rhythm control.

She received her medical degree and training from Tufts University School of Medicine prior to completing a cardiovascular disease fellowship and a chief fellowship year at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
